I cannot join a room
Check the four-character code with the person who shared it. Codes are not case sensitive, and a code stays valid for up to 24 hours. Once the creator starts the game, the room is sealed to new players, so ask the creator to open a new room if you arrived late.
A room can also be at its capacity. The game shows one of these messages when a join fails:
My connection dropped
A brief drop reconnects by itself. If you closed or reloaded the page, reopen it in the same browser session to return to the same room. The game keeps running while you are away, because its timers run on the server.
The room shows the state of the connection as Connecting, Reconnecting, or Connected. If it shows Connection closed or Connection unavailable, use the Retry button next to it. If the game reports a message it cannot read, reload the page to start a fresh connection:
Guest or account: what is kept
A guest identity lasts for your current browser session. An account keeps your statistics and virtual points between visits. If your session ends while you are away, the game asks you to join or sign in again with one of these messages:
Signing in
You can sign in with an email address and password, or with a Google or Microsoft account where those options are offered. When a verification code does not work, ask for a new one instead of retrying the old one. The sign-in form shows these messages:
Practice does not start
Practice against bots is created by the server. When it cannot start, the home page shows this message:
What practice mode does and does not save is explained in the How to play guide.
Ads, consent, and ad blockers
Playing the game never depends on advertising, and the game works with an ad blocker. The footer control labelled Privacy & ad settings reopens your advertising choice, and it only appears while Google’s consent platform is in use. If it cannot reach that platform, its label changes to one of these:
How advertising, consent, and cookies are handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Keyboard, screen readers, and reduced motion
Every control can be operated with the keyboard. Screen readers receive status announcements for the phase of the game and for match results, and animations respect the reduced-motion setting of your device.
